System Overview

  • Modular
  • Mass-produced
  • Waterless
  • Dispatchable 24/7

Wilson Solarpower is developing a water-free modular system that will be mass-produced in factories so that costs will decline with manufacturing volumes.  The Wilson System will be shipped operation-ready to the site.  Like wind machines, erection and commissioning will require minimal time and expense, and systems will be scalable from 100 kilowatts (able to serve, for example, 20-30 US homes) to 1000s of megawatts.  Unlike wind and photovoltaics, the Wilson System will produce power whenever needed, regardless of weather conditions.

Because the Wilson Solarpower System is ‘dispatchable’ (capable of producing electricity on demand 24/7, in sharp contrast to other renewable energy sources such as wind and solar photovoltaics), it is able not only to generate electricity in peak periods, but to do so at night and during low sunshine.
