Wilson TurboPower, Inc., is founded and led by David Gordon Wilson and Bruce Anderson.
2001-2005
WTP raises $2,400,000 to develop an ultra-efficient heat exchanger that will enable development of an ultra-efficient microturbine.
2002
WTP wins the $25,000 Grand Prize at the National Social Venture Competition.
2005
WTP develops and builds the first Wilson high-temperature, regenerator-type heat exchanger.
2006
WTP successfully tests the Wilson Heat Exchanger. Performance exceeds expectations and impresses experts.
WTP raises $850,000 to commercialize the Wilson Heat Exchanger.
2007
Initial sales of the Wilson Heat Exchanger in first target markets demonstrate adaptability, operating benefits, and customer acceptance that will lead to quantity production.
WTP plans to raise additional capital to fund further development of the Wilson Microturbine and to further commercialize the Wilson Heat Exchanger.
Continued product development and aggressive marketing actions are planned.
2008 - 2009
WTP will build, test, and refine a 300 kWe microturbine prototype anticipated to achieve an electrical efficiency of 50% and up to 90% combined efficiency when waste heat is utilized.
